Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2 October 2014 on the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This is a national-level campaign and is being run by the government of India, which has been started for the cleaning of cities and villages.

In This campaign, the Prime minister first included 9 famous celebrities. The names of these 9 celebrities are Anil Ambani, Sachin Tendulkar, Salman Khan, Baba Ramdev, Priyanka Chopra, Kamal Hassan, Shashi Tharoor, Mridhula Sinha, Shazia ilmi. Modi ji has told all these people to include nine other people.
